IPDET comprises a vibrant community of professionals in the field from all over the world. This is valued throughout the program. We offer spaces and various leisure activities to meet, connect and exchange with each other.

The following events and activities are included in the tuition fees!

Trip to the Alps

July XX | 3:15 – 4:15 p.m.
Only for participants staying the first and second week in a row, IPDET organizes a full day excursion to the Alps on Sunday 16th of July. The trip takes you to the mountain-site of Switzerland where you enjoy a spectacular view, a nice lunch and have the possibility to do easy hiking-routes.

World Exhibition

SPORTS AND RECREATION

Each Thursday from 7:00 – 8:30 p.m.
Bring your sports shoes and let´s get the game started!

Doors open Monday–Friday 7:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
You can train your body in the Center of Sports and Science (Bremgartenstrasse 145) and in vonRoll (Fabrikstrasse 8).

During summer, public swimming pools in Bern are free of charge and are the perfect opportunity to cool down and relax.

The largest public swimming pool in Bern, Weyermannshaus (Stöckackerstrasse 33), is near the Europaplatz (several public transport possibilities).

The Marzili (Marzilistrasse 29) and Lorraine (Uferweg) are outdoor swimming pools with access to the Aare River. Please be aware that swimming in the river is very dangerous!

In Bern Bethlehem you can find a network of trails that lead through the Bremgarten Forest.
