Marina Cracco
Marina is the Training Coordinator of the International Program for Development Evaluation Training at the University of Bern.
Her work and research have focused on monitoring, evaluation, and training for environmental projects, including nature conservation, climate change adaptation, disaster risk reduction, and protected area management effectiveness—across roles in GEF IEO, Adaptation Fund, NGOs, and academia. She is a member of the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) World Commission on Protected Areas, the Commission on Ecosystem Management, and former member of the IUCN World Heritage Panel. Marina completed a MSc. degree in Sustainable Development and Conservation Biology at the University of Maryland (USA) and a PhD. in Environmental Sciences at the University of Lausanne (Switzerland). Within IPDET, Marina is responsible for planning, organizing, and overseeing training programs.
